12/15/2023 Application F - Site Plan LayoutAssignment: Utilizing the same small commercial or residential structure previously selected, create a site plan. Your completed drawing will be digitized on a "B-Size" (i.e. 17x11) sheet of copy paper (i.e. bond paper). The final drawing will be hand drawn in pen and ink with shadows and color drawn with Prismacolor markers and pencils.
Assignment: Add shadows to the perspective generated in Application B - Interior Perspective. The completed perspective with shadows will be submitted on a digitized "A-Size" (i.e. 8-1/2x11) or "B-Size" (i.e. 17x11) sheet of copy paper (i.e. bond paper). The final drawing will be hand drawn in pen and ink with shadows drawn with Prismacolor pencil.
12/15/2023 Assignment #13 Natural Lighting Interior 3Introduction: Light and shadow define the surfaces, edges, and shape of an object, giving it depth and character. Have you ever seen a drawing without shadows and it appears as though the objects seem to be floating? Shadows help ground objects. The direction of the light source and the time of day define the shadows in a drawing. We will explore shadows created by the sun and examine the different levels of light, shade, and shadow and how they affect objects and help to define their shape. We will also explore how to best represent the design to the client using shadows. The selection of the light source impacts shade and shadow and must be selected to best compliment the design. A note of caution, if the site and location are always in shadow or an area that receives very little sun, then you need to show the design in that situation or you will misrepresent the reality of the design to the client.
